Lady Lion golfers finish second at district

Harrisburg outlasted Manila at the senior high girls district golf championships last week at Corning.

Ainsley Wixson fired a 43 to earn medalist honors in pacing the Lady Hornets to the championship. Harrisburg shot a winning team total of 148.

The Lady Lions finished runner-up with a 169 total. Jozalyn Keys carded a team best 54 to pace Manila. Jasmine Lozano shot a 57 while Tonya Gonzalez came in with a 58.

Manila’s second place finish earned them a trip to the Class 3A State Tournament.
