Fred Junior Smith

Fred Junior Smith, 90, of Monette, died July 15, 2018, at Monette Manor in Monette. He was born May 8, 1928, in Mississippi County, to Fred and Lily Brannon Smith. Mr. Smith was a construction worker, a U.S. Navy veteran and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Villine Smith of Texarkana, Texas; two sons Richard (Mary) Smith of Lost Cane and Jerry (Tommye) Smith of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter, Teisa (Samuel) Daniel of Manila; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Wilson Funeral Home with burial at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah.
