J.B. Lollar
J.B. Lollar, 96, of Blytheville, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
J.B. was born in Birmingham, Alabama to W.T. and Ethel Lollar and was a retired farmer. He served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II. J.B. enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go camping, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed playing checkers with his buddies and cooking. J.B. loved playing his guitar and singing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta; his parents; a son, Hershel Lollar; four sisters; and four brothers.
J.B. leaves his daughter, Mavis Wilson of Blytheville, who was also his caregiver; two sisters, Laquita Brown of Wilmington, North Carolina and Sue Hodge of Horn Lake, Mississippi; eight grandchildren, Roger Wilson of Orange County, California, Clayton Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia, Hershel Lollar of Tennessee, April Lollar of Jackson, Tennessee, DeAnna Howard of Blytheville, Amy Burks, Angela Lollar of Kennett, Missouri, and Charity Little of Blytheville; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
