Ella Wilkins Lewis Sanders
Ella Wilkins Lewis Sanders of Blytheville was born April 24, 1929 in Noxubee County, MS to the late Glover Wilkins Lewis and the late Mary Ella Lewis. She was a retired cook and a member of New St. Paul M. B. Church in Blytheville. Ms. Sanders passed away on June 30, 2018 at her home in Blytheville, at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband L.C. Sanders, Sr., one son John L. Sanders, one daughter Emma Gibson, three brothers Fessor R Lewis, Sr., J.C Lewis, and Willie James Lewis, four sisters Lula Wells, Fannie Richardson, Rosie Thompson and Gloria Overton. She is survived by her sons L.C. Sanders, Jr., Eugene Sanders and Mayor James Sanders all of Blytheville, six daughters Dorothy Gene Simmons of Albany, GA, Jannette Day of Blytheville, JoAnn Daley of Jonesboro, Judia Bowie and Idella Sanders both of Houston, TX and Bertha King of Blytheville, one brother Joseph Lewis, Sr. of Blytheville, one sister Annie Bea Taylor of Hobbs, NM, a host of grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren, a host of other family and many friends. A visitation will be held July 7, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at New St. Paul M.B. Church in Blytheville, with the funeral immediately following. Pastor Clark Phillips will be officiating. The burial will be held at Gethsemane Memorial Cemetery in Blytheville. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
