Semi overturns on East Main

An 18-wheeler overturned around noon Thursday in front of Sonic on East Main, causing westbound traffic to be diverted, according to Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson.

"We've had a semi truck with a steel coil flip over on East Main by Sonic," Thompson said at 12:05 p.m. Thursday. "Eastbound traffic is flowing at the moment. Westbound traffic is being diverted. We are attempting to bring in a crane to remove the coil."

No injuries have been reported, but Thompson noted the road surface will have to be repaired.
