Blytheville Assistant Police Chief Ricky Jefferson (right) and a Storm Sirens, Inc. representative inspected the city tornado sirens on Tuesday. The city is installing/replacing eight sirens. The city is adding a new siren by the Blytheville Waterworks tower on June Gosnell Drive, another one at Westminster Village on Memorial Drive (pending BGRAA approval), one on Lockard near Skateland and one on Highway East 18 on Terra Road. The city is replacing the sirens at 21st and Marguerite, Second and Roosevelt and Byrum Road. The city is also looking at the one on 7th and Moultrie; the eighth location is to be determined.
