The following are reports from the Blytheville Police Department.

Tuesday, May 1

— Police took a harassment report in the 500 block of South Franklin.

— Officers cited Martin Ballard and Demarro Luster on assault charges at Walmart. Ballard told police that the altercation started when he was almost hit crossing the roadway. He said that he had thrown a water bottle at the vehicle after the incident striking the driver window. Ballard told officers at that time the vehicle exited to Walmart parking lot and confronted him. He stated he pulled out his machete but left it in the nylon case because he did not want to get jumped. “I made contact with the subject that was in the vehicle involved in the incident known as Demarro Luster,” the report said. “Luster informed me that Ballard was in the roadway was almost hit because he was not waiting for traffic to clear. He continued to say that his vehicle was struck with an object not causing damage. He advised me that the subject had a machete so he grabbed a baseball bat out of the trunk of the vehicle. Both parties were seen yelling at each other in the parking lot making threats with their objects.” A witness said “Ballard had a machete making a scene so Luster grabbed a bat,” according to the report. “He continued to say that he called the police before it got out of hand.”

— Police arrested Carl Ballard, 59, on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on South Division.

— Police took a criminal trespassing report in the 300 block of South Division.

— Police took a terroristic threatening report in the 1100 block of Willow.

— Officers took a forgery report. The offender allegedly stole a check from Supreme Clean and cashed it for $150.

— Police took a fraud report in the 300 block of South Division.

— Officers arrested Tony Conner, 19, on charges of disorderly conduct and fleeing on foot in the 100 block of East Cherry.

Wednesday, May 2

— Police arrested Avery Clayborn, 48, on charges of commercial burglary, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance (meth), after he allegedly burglarized Pafford EMS on South Division.

— Officers investigated a shooting in the 400 block of Dougan. Tarance Bryant was shot in the leg. He was transported to Great River Medical Center. Police had responded to a report of someone trying to break into a house, and learned that there were shots fired in the area. No other information is available at this time.

— Police investigated a terroristic threatening report in the 900 block of South Division.

— Officers took a report of child pornography at Blytheville Middle School. According to the report, a student sent a Snapchat video, which shows her nude, to the offender, who showed it to four other students. The four juveniles who watched the video told the principal’s office about it.

— Police took a fraudulent use of a credit card report ($800).

— Police took a report of a stolen license plate in the 500 block of North 11th.

— Police investigated a report of a woman stabbed in the 800 block of South Franklin. She was apparently stabbed on her right leg, but refused to give officers information on what happened. She also refused medical treatment.

— Officers investigated a battery report at 16th and McHaney.

— Police investigated an assault in the 100 block of West Sycamore.

— Police arrested Kevin Fitzgerald, 18, on shoplifting charges at Kroger.

— Officers investigated an aggravated assault in the 100 block of Sycamore.

— Police investigated a burglary in the 900 block of West Adams. A door bell camera was damaged.
