Shirley Edna Lucas

Shirley Edna Lucas, 73, of Blytheville passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 2, 1944 in Armorel to the late Jessie Willard and Eula Mildred Ross Walker. She was a member of the North 10th Street Baptist Church and she enjoyed yard work, gardening, traveling, and she had a special soft spot for children.

Survivors include; one granddaughter: Brandi Southern (James); one brother: Jesse Walker; three sisters: Jean Stegall (Harvey), Brenda Clark, and Barbara Whitaker (Jerry); many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her husband: Preston Lucas; and twin brother: James Walker.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the North 10th Street Baptist Church in Blytheville with Bro. Max Briley officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
