Connor competes at state track meet

Connor Jackson, freshman at Manila High School, ran at the Arkansas State Championship indoor track meet at the Randall Tyson Indoor Track on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville on Feb 23.

This meet included over 50 schools and over 800 athletes from schools in divisions 1A-4A.

Connor competed in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter races. He finished 10th in the 1600 meter race (1 mile) with a time of 4 minutes 57 seconds. He finished fifth in the 3200 meter race (2 miles) with a time of 10 minutes 51 seconds.

These races were against athletes from 9th-12th grades. Connor was the top ninth grader in both races.
