Gaden “ Gabe” Porter Donald

Gaden “ Gabe” Porter Donald, 88 of Blytheville went to be with the Lord on Saturday February 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Goodman, Miss. on June 12, 1929, Gaden was the son of John and Anderson Donald. He was known as a great mechanic and drove the school bus for the Blytheville School District. Gaden confessed his hope in Christ and was a member of Nehemiah Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent David Corn.

He leaves to forever cherish his memory son Gaden (Darlene) Donald of Greenville Miss., five daughters, Gloria Ann Jackson of Greenville, Ledora (Willie )Holmes of Sanger, Texas , Shelia (Abbie) Rumph, Bobbye (Paul) Johnson, and Cora Michelle (Curtis) Frost all of Blytheville, one brother, Thomas Chapman of Blytheville, and one sister, Anna Ruth Grisby of Chicago, Ill.,14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one great- great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Nehemiah Temple Church of God in Christ. Superintendent Corn will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home 1207 South Division.
