Arthur Jordan, Jr.

Arthur Jordan, Jr. was born July 17, 1936 in Joiner to Arthur and Rosie Moore Jordan, Sr. He was a retired factory worker and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jordan passed away February 21, 2018 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife Mattie Jordan of Joiner, four sons William Jordan of Joiner, Bruce Jordan, Arthur Jordan III and Deon Watkins of Chicago, three daughters Marilyn (Patrick) Hinton and Arlei Jordan of Chicago, and Lula Speed of Osceola, three brothers James Lee Jordan of Blytheville, James Curtis Jordan of Chicago, and John Wesley Jordan of St. Louis, five sisters Lena Smith of Lancaster, Cal., Vernice (Henry L.) Brown of Blytheville, Bobbie Love and Armentra Golliday of Chicago, and Shirley Dubose of Etown, Ky., a host of grand, great and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Carolyn Jordan, one brother Isaac Jordan two sisters Frankie B. Maxwell and Queen Mason. Visitation will be Saturday March 3, 2018 from 12-1; funeral will be at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Frenchman Bayou. Burial will be at First Baptist Cemetery in Frenchman Bayou with Bro. John Wesley Jordan officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola has charge.
