Riverside’s brother-sister duo of Hailey and Hayden Carr finished runner-up in their respective divisions of last week’s 3A-2A-1A East Conference Bowling Championships held Monday in Jonesboro.
Hailey Carr rolled a 456 series to finish runner-up to Bay’s Bailey Williams, who fired a 550 series. Lady Rebel Cara Williams rolled a 387 series, good enough for ninth place, as Riverside finished fourth in the team standings.
Hayden Carr put together a 540 series in leading Riverside to a third place finish in the boys division, behind first place Izard County Consolidated and runner-up Norfork.
The Carr siblings were both named All-Conference.
In the state tournament held Wednesday in Cabot, the Rebel boys finished seventh. Carr rolled a 553 series to lead Riverside. Carr’s total was good enough for a sixth place, earning him All-State recognition.
The Lady Rebels came in ninth as a team.
