Robert Nelson Hamilton

Robert Nelson Hamilton, 78, of Manila passed from this life Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at his home. Born at Manila he was the son of the late Nelson and Genevieve Mobley Hamilton and had been a lifelong Manila resident. Robert was a 1958 graduate of Manila High School, had served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a retired farmer. A devoted family man, Robert enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Manila where he served as a deacon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, LaTisha Dawn Ford.

He is survived by His wife of 56 years, Norma Bartholomew Hamilton of the home; three daughters, Ginny Korinne Ford and her husband Mark,

Robin Michelle Hamilton, Christie Jean Malone and her husband Brandon, all of Manila; a brother, Tommy Hamilton of Riverton, WY, a sister, Becky Misner of Manila; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Wallace and her husband Andy, Alan JaRobert Ford and his wife Alicia, Anna Beth Baugher and Jacob Hamilton Baugher; and four great-grandchildren, Chloe Ford, Ellisyn Wallace, Blake Ford and Max Wallace.

Funeral Services will be held at eleven o'clock Thursday, Nov. 16, at the First Baptist Church in Manila with Dr. Matt Pryor and Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Gary Jolliff, Bobby Moore, Carroll Davison, Lanny May, Bobby Tucker, Jerry Hitchcock and Jimmy Williams. Honorary pallbearers are past and present deacons of First Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class.
