Caraway Mayor Barry Riley and council members met in a special meeting Friday, Sept. 1, to consider selling property located at Missouri and Chicago Streets.
The council discussed selling city property to Premier Properties, owned by Dr. Michael Oldham. The property was formerly used as a ball field.
The council voted unanimously to sell the property for $10,000. The buyer intends to build quadplex apartments.
Council members present included John Boatman, Bo James, Mitchell Tipton, Marvin Browning and Jerry Martin. Roger Williams was absent.
