Around 9 a.m. Wednesday, Blytheville police assisted U.S. Marshals with the arrest of a West Memphis homicide suspect.
According to Blytheville Criminal Investigations Division Commander Capt. Scott Adams, BPD and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force captured 39-year-old Marcus Jerome Reynolds at the local Relax Inn.
On Friday, Blytheville police were notified by West Memphis authorities that Reynolds could be in Blytheville in a Black Jeep Cherokee, providing the license plate number and approximate location.
“At approximately 1 a.m. (Saturday), officers located the vehicle at 2208 South Circle Drive,” Adams said. “Officers could clearly see blood evidence in the vehicle. The vehicle was secured and towed for the West Memphis Police Department.”
Then, at 9 a.m. Wednesday, police learned Reynolds was at the Relax Inn.
“Officers went to the location and verified that Reynolds’ girlfriend had been in Room 122 since 9/1/17,” Adams said. “Officers knocked on the door and announced police presence. After several minutes a black female later identified as 32-year-old Angela White opened the door. When asked if anyone else was in the room, White stated she was the only one in the room. Officers then entered the room and located Reynolds hiding under a bed where he was taken into custody.”
White was also taken into custody and will be charged with hindering apprehension. White will be arraigned in Blytheville District Court on Thursday.
