No injuries in accident involving BPD unit

There were no injuries, but a Blytheville Police Department patrol car was damaged when a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu collided with the cruiser early Friday morning on South Division, according to BPD Capt. Jeremy Ward.

The Arkansas State Police is investigating the accident.

According to Ward, around 3:50 a.m. Friday, the police officer was traveling north on South Division in the 2011 Dodge Charger when the Malibu failed to yield when crossing South Division, after exiting I-55 north.

The driver front side of the police car was damaged.

It is unclear if the woman was cited by the ASP.
