Truevilla “T” Parks
Mr. Truevilla “T” Parks, 92, of Blytheville, passed away on July 8, 2017 in his home. He was born on December 1, 1924 in Memphis, Tenn. to Hurley and Lilly Parks. He was a retired brick mason layerer, member of the St. Andrew Lodge #131 in Blytheville and a member of the NAACP. Mr. Parks served our country in the Navy and Army and also served in WWII.
Mr. Parks was preceded in death by his parents, Hurley Parks and Lilly Spencer; two brothers, Hurley Parks and William Earl Parks; and two sisters, Pearline Parks and Mary Lee Parks.
He is survived by nine children, Robert Larry Parks of Jonesboro Ga., Jackie Parks of Columbia S.C., Larry Brown of Arlington, Texas, Frederick Parks of Newport News, Va., John Parks of Lexington Park, Mo., Ronald Parks of Tokyo, Japan and Hurley Wayne Parks of Hampton, Va.; two daughters, Linda Lee Parks of Columbia S.C. and Jacqueline Shelby of Hampton, Va.; one sister, Queen Mary Lucky of Miami Fla.; twenty grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and a host of other friends and family.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday July 14, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral Services will follow at noon with Rev. Johnnie Brown officiating. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville.
