Dorothy Ellen Southern

Dorothy Ellen Southern, 88, of Manila, passed from this life Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Born at Paducah Ky., she was the daughter of the late Everett and Gladys Stanfill Nimmo and had been a longtime Manila area resident. She was a homemaker and had worked for American Greetings in Osceola.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Southern; one daughter, Patsy McFall; one brother, Buddy Nimmo; one sister, Wanda Martin; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, David Southern and Danny Southern (Donna), all of Manila; her daughter, Linda McCain of Manila; two sisters, Betty Kelton and Dennie Cummings, both of Mountain Home; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 2, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel with the Reverend David Fair officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Friday morning from 10 until service time at the funeral home in Manila.
