James Ray Kendrick
Mr. James Ray Kendrick, 85, of Blytheville, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at St. Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Jim was born in Marked Tree, to James Lacy and Versie Gertrude (Jones) Kendrick. He was a retired blacksmith fabricator with Osceola Machine Works. James served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was devoted to his pets and family. Jim was also a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to everybody.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith Kendrick; one brother and one sister.
Jim leaves four sons, Mike Kendrick and Earlene of Clarksville, Tenn., Jimmy Kendrick and Kathy of Estill Springs, Tenn., Billy Kendrick and Nita of Armorel and Bobby Kendrick and Shelia of Quitman, Ark.; two daughters, Brenda Schultheis and Jim of Morrison, Colo. and Cathy MacDonald of Jonesboro; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 1 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Brothers and Rev. Mitchel King, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Home.
