BAY— The Armorel Lady Tigers took home their fifth consecutive 1A-3 District title on Monday after defeating host the Bay Lady Yellowjackets, 6-1.
Brooke Trout led the Lady Tigers to victory by striking out 15 Bay batters and gave up six hits.
Leading the Lady Tigers offense was Olivia Luttrell ( 1-4 with an RBI), Abby Kennedy (two RBIs and a run scored), Trout (three runs scored and two RBIs), Beal ( three runs scored), Rylee Nelson ( 3-3 with five RBIs), McKinley Carr (1-3 with an RBI), Alyssa Benefield ( run scored), Emily Jo Gentry ( 2-3), Amanda Allison ( run scored) and Madison Ciepela (run scored).
The Lady Tigers reached the championship game after a 15-0 victory over the Maynard Lady Tigers.
Madison Beal, senior pitcher, led the Lady Tigers with seven strikeouts and allowed one hit.

The Lady Tigers will play the Norfork Lady Panthers on Thursday, at 10 a,m. in the first round of regionals at Armorel.
