Four Blytheville businesses were burglarized on Monday.
According to Blytheville Police Department reports, thieves broke into AFLAC Insurance on North 5th, Larry’s Grocery on South Ruddle, Terry Abstract on North Broadway and a former business at North Broadway and Hutson.
Around 9:54 a.m., police responded to AFLAC when someone attempted to break into it by kicking in the door. The offender was unable to get inside, however.
Then, police learned that a thief broke into Larry’s Grocery and stole 20 cartons of cigarettes.
Terry Abstract was also a victim with the offender taking a revolver and a silver-plated plaque.
Meanwhile, missing from a former business at Hutson and Broadway were two lawn mowers and a trimmer. Police found the items hidden in some bushes in front of the business.
