One-year-old Tyraji Johnson has been surrendered to the Oconee County, South Carolina Sheriff's Office, according to Blytheville Police Department Capt. Scott Adams.
On Monday night, Adams said a family member of the offender, the child's noncustodial father, 23-year-old Kenyatta Talley, surrendered the child to Oconee County authorities.
No arrests have been made. The child's mother, 22-year-old Tynese Newmy, is en route to South Carolina, Adams noted.
At approximatley 3 p.m. Sunday, Blytheville officers received a report of a non-custodial child abduction of a one-year-old,Tyraji Johnson.
According to Adams, 22-year-old Tynese Newmy reported that on Saturday, at approximately 12 p.m., she received a call from the sister of her child's father, Niambi Talley, who lives in Blytheville, asking if she could watch the child for a few hours. " Newmy advised this was not uncommon and allowed her to do so because she had to go to work," Adams said. "At approximatley 4 p.m. Newmy received a call from her mother stating that Talley was there wanting clothes so Tynese could spend the night. Newmy advised that she could not and she would pick up her child when she got off work at approximatley 7 p.m. " On Sunday, Newmy discovered that the non-custodial father, 23-year-old Kenyatta Talley of Anderson, South Carolina, had the child and was headed to South Carolina and Niambi was possibly headed to Little Rock, Adams said.
Police have kidnapping warrants for both Kenyatta Talley and Niambi Talley.
