David Edwin Willyerd
David Edwin Willyerd, 52, of Black Oak, passed from this life Sunday, March 26, 2017, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, he was the son of the late Edd Willyerd and was raised in the Buckeye community. He attended Leachville High School and had lived in Black Oak for the past 28 years. David was a shipping clerk for Southworth Products Corp. in Manila and was a member of the Leachville First Baptist Church. He enjoyed many years of coaching his daughter's softball teams and loved barbecuing and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Dallas Morris, and his mother-in-law, Ola Fletcher.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sue Fletcher Willyerd of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Josh McCallie of Black Oak and Whitney and Jeff Pennington of Black Oak; two grandchildren, Carson and Callie Pennington; his mother, Florence Murphy Morris of Leachville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Doris Willyerd of Leachville, Rick (Monk) and Tina Willyerd of Manila and Benny and Lisa Willyerd of Leachville; one stepbrother, Jerome Morris (Stephanie) of Paragould; one stepsister, Robin Bellomy (Ron) of Lafe. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Renee Uthoff (Tony) of Evening Shade, and his father-in-law, Jim Fletcher of Black Oak.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Mr. Eddie Dunigan and Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Aaron Liles, Bishop Whitley, Brian Harrell, Brent Carey, Brian Luetschwager and Tony Uthoff.
