Shirley Jean Scroggins

Mrs. Shirley Jean Scroggins, 78, of Memphis, passed away on March 4, 2017. She was retired from the Forrest Fire Fighting Crew, of the Baptist faith, and was a resident of Arkansas, California and Tennessee.

She is survived by her step mother Alice Sampley of West Memphis;

One son, Clinton Scroggins of Redding, Calif.;

One sister Barbara (Robert) McBride of Memphis, Tenn;

Four half-sisters, Laquita Taylor of Marion, Greta Lovejoy of West Memphis, Debbie Vincent of Marion and Leslie Sampley of West Memphis;

Two half-brothers Willie Bob Sampley and Fletcher Ray Sampley both West Memphis;

Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Bob Sampley and Freddie Collier and her husband Charles C. Scroggins.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday March 9, 2017 at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
