Glynn Ray "P-nut" Welker

Glynn Ray "P-nut" Welker, 66, of Jonesboro, formerly of Leachville, passed from this life Feb. 1, 2017, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Jonesboro he was the son of the late Elzie and Verna Herman Welker and was raised in Leachville. He had been a longtime resident of the David E. Puryear Center in Jonesboro and enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal baseball, watching wrestling and collecting watches.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Sue Winkeler and Wanda Haman.

Survivors include two brothers, Eddie Welker and wife Coye of Bartlett, Tenn., and Lynn Welker of Jonesboro; one sister, Donna Farmer Sandbothe of Manila.

The family received visitors from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Burial was private.
