Buffalo Island Central hammered KIPP Blytheville 56-22 in senior boys basketball action Friday night at the Mustang Athletic Complex in Monette.
Andrew McFarlin paced the Mustangs with 13 points, five assists and four rebounds. BIC galloped to a 25-4 lead after the first quarter and held a 32-8 advantage at the half. The Mustangs cruised to a 50-15 lead after three periods of play.
BIC traveled to Lepanto Tuesday night and fell to the Warriors 69-39. EPC held a slim 28-23 lead at the half, but outscored the Mustangs 41-16 in the second half to pull away for the win.
J'Sebian Brown led EPC with 23 points while Xzavier Reed added 16 more.
The Mustangs rolled to a 42-19 win in the junior high game. John Garrett Edwards paced BIC with 14 while Tate Schooley added 10.
BIC dropped a 63-36 decision Thursday night at Marked Tree. Trayvius Brown scored 17 points while Kentarious Allen added 12 to help propel the Indians to the victory.
Marked Tree led 9-5 after the opening quarter before outscoring the Mustangs 25-7 in the second stanza to take a 34-12 lead at intermission.
Miles Gifford led BIC with 12 points while Trey DePriest chipped in 10 more.
The Mustangs took the junior high game 45-18. Jesse Fry paced BIC with 13 points while Edwards pitched in 12.
BIC will host Marked Tree Tuesday night before traveling to Manila to face the Lions on Friday.
