Ellis Garth, Sr.
Mr. Ellis Garth, Sr., 89, of Blytheville passed away on January 8, 2017 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a retired van driver for EOC and an Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Mr. Garth was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. He was born on September 25, 1927 to Nelson Garth and Sidney Randall.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Leola Garth, son Nelson Garth and daughter Cynthia King.
Mr. Garth is survived by his wife, Christine Garth;
Sister, Elizabeth Reed of Trenton, Tenn.;
Two sons: Ellis Garth Jr. (Renee) of Little Rock, Elliott Garth of Cedar Rapids, Mich.;
Three daughters, Billy Garth, of Hot Springs, Mary Garth of Fayetteville and Penny (Kevin) Richard of Merryville, Ind.;
Twenty-two grandchildren;
Twenty great grandchildren;
One great-great granddaughter; and
A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Garth's visitation will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 from Noon until 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Bishop Gerald Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Whiteside Cemetery.
