Three children, two-year-old twins and a six-month-old, were confirmed dead Wednesday as the result of a house fire which occurred in Cash in Craighead County.
Nine people were in the home at the time of the fire. One woman was severely injured and was airlifted to a trauma center in Memphis. Two additional children and three adults escaped the fire and were not injured.
The American Red Cross was on the scene and will be providing aid to the family in the form of emergency food and clothing, funeral assistance and mental health services. Arkansas Red Cross volunteers are reaching out to Red Cross volunteers in Memphis, who will be working with the injured woman as well.
