The Blytheville Police Department has identified the pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries Sunday night on South Division.
According to Capt. Scott Adams, 37-year-old Lakeyda Brown of Blytheville perished when was struck at 8:55 p.m. by a south-bound vehicle as she was walking in the roadway near Raben Tire.
"Brown was taken from scene to the Great River Medical Center where she died from her injuries," Adams said. "Both an accident report and death investigation was conducted because of the death of the victim. At approximately 2:15 a.m. family members did contact the police department and later positively identified Brown. We do not anticipate and charges against the driver being filed at this time."
