A Blytheville woman was arraigned Monday in Osceola District Court after admitting to stabbing 55-year-old Victor Beaugard to death early Saturday morning, according to Capt. Scott Adams.
Adams said the offender, 41-year-old Veronica Hodges, called the Blytheville Police Department around 1:10 a.m. claiming that the victim had threatened to burn her house located at 3411 239 Spur.
"When officers arrived they found Beaugard laying in the drive way with stab wounds to the face and chest," Adams said in a press release. "Hodges was taken into custody after she admitted to stabbing Beaugard."
She was arraigned on a Murder 1st charge via closed circuit television. Judge Bedderton did find probable cause and bond was set at $250,000 cash. Her next court appearance will be August 31 in Circuit Court.
