The Blytheville Hardy Sales and Services improved their record to 4-0 in zone play and 13-6 overall, after a 14-4 victory over the Jonesboro Ricemen on Thursday night at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex. The Blytheville Hardy Sales and Services improved their record to 4-0 in zone play and 13-6 overall, after a 14-4 victory over the Jonesboro Ricemen on Thursday night at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex.

After two innings of work, the Casons led 3-0 on the Ricemen. After the fourth inning the Casons led 10-4 and, in the fifth inning, they scored four more runs to invoke the 10-run rule.

Jamal Washington (3-4 with a run scored), Ashton Kennedy (2-3 with two runs scored), Chad Wright (1-4 with a run scored), Zack Gray (2-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases), Brett Sweatmon (1-4 with a run scored), Will Camp (1-1 with two runs scored and a stolen base), Hank Hill (4-4 with two runs scored), and Andrew Scott (1-1) powered the Cason bats.

Brett Sweatmon was on the mound for the Casons. Sweatmon allowed six hits, struck three batters out, and allowed one walk.

The Casons' next games will be Saturday at 1 p.m. against Poplar Bluff, Sunday at Mountain Home, and Monday at home against Batesville.

KENNETT -- The Casons beat Kennett on Wednesday night ,13-3, after three home runs by Zack Gray, Ashton Kennedy, and Michael Miller.

Jamal Washington (1-3 with a run scored), Zack Gray (2-4 with two runs scored), Chad Wright (1-2 with a run scored), Brett Sweatmon (3-5), Will Camp (1-1), Hank Hill (1-2 with a run scored), Ashton Kennedy (3-5 with a run scored), Michael Miller (2-3 with a run scored), and Alex Draughn (2-4 with two runs scored) led Blytheville at the plate.
