Shirley Ruth Dean

Mrs. Shirley Ruth Dean, 66, of Manila, passed away June 22, 2016, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Born July 4, 1949, in Manila, she was the daughter of Tommie and Mamie Needham Huddleston and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Dean enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Mamie Huddleston of Manila; one son, Tommy Watson and wife Debbie of Manila; one sister, Wanda Fay Watson of Manila; one granddaughter, Connie Watson of Manila; two step-grandsons, Ben and Cody Bunn both of Manila; one step-granddaughter, Destiny Parker of Manila; one niece, Cathy Smith and husband Mike of Manila; one great-niece, Amber Sparkman and husband Blake of Monette; one great-great-niece, Blakelynn Sparkman (daughter of Amber and Blake Sparkman); three stepdaughters, Hazel Gossom, Lillie Lutz and Loraine Odum. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Huddleston, and husband, Willie Dean.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. July 9 at the Manila Cemetery in Manila under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
