Minnie Linda Tate
Minnie Linda Tate, 88, of Leachville, widow of Cary Preston Tate, passed from this life Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at her home. Born in Campbell, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Fred and Gladys Linhart Harmon and had been a Leachville resident since 1968. She was a 1945 graduate of Manila High School and earned an associates degree from Springfield Technical College in Springfield, Mo. She served as president of the Parent Teacher Association in Manila from 1956-1961 and was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Leachville.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Preston Tate, and two brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Tate and wife Barbara and Randy Tate, all of Leachville; one brother, Ronnie Harmon of Alabama; two sisters, Wanda Duncan of St. Louis, Mo., and Betty Sue McDonald of St. Charles, Mo. She also leaves four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville.
