The Gosnell Pirates pounded out six runs on 12 hits in a 6-2 win over the Caruthersville, Mo. Tigers Saturday handing the Tigers just their second loss of the season.

Pirate starting pitcher, Andrew Scott, went the distance allowing just one eared run on six hits while striking out three in seven complete innings of work.

Gosenll scored a pair of runs in the first inning, a run in each of the second and third innings and two more in the bottom of the sixth on their way to the win.

Caruthersville scored a run in the first and one in the fifth in the loss.

Chad Wright (3-4, RBI and a run scored), Scott (2-4 with an RBI), Andy Roberts (1-2, 2 RBIs and a run scored), Ronnie McShan (2-3, RBI and a run scored), Peyton Thompson (1-3, RBI and a run scored), Matthew Miller (1-2, RBI and 2 runs scored), Hunter Jolly (1-4) and Tabari Herron (1-4) powered the Pirate offense.

Gosnell improves to 18-5 on the year.
