A Blytheville teen suffered fatal injuries early Sunday morning, following a one-car accident on County Road 230, east of Highway 18, according to the Arkansas State Police.

At 2:29 a.m., Drew Kelley, 18, left the roadway driving south in his 1997 GMC, overcorrecting, crossing both lanes of traffic and striking a ditch, the ASP report said.

His body is being held at the Blytheville morgue.

Kelley is a senior at Gosnell High School.

"There are no words, just prayers and crying out for peace and comfort for his sweet family, his friends and all of the others that were blessed with knowing him," Gosnell FFA teacher Charissa Moore wrote on her Facebook page this morning. "Four years... Five classes... Multiple FFA trips and cookouts. He was our grill master (even if he did drop 48 hotdogs right before we were supposed to eat)! Drew Kelley had a way of making you smile, even when you wanted to scream... My heart breaks for Laura and Howard and his entire family and circle of friends."

Superintendent Bonard Mace issued the following statement: "If you have not heard by now senior Drew Kelly was killed in a car wreck last night . Our hearts and prayers go out to his mother (Laura) elementary secretary and the family.. Our District will have counselors and staff available to all that need assistance."
