BATESVILLE-The Armorel Tigers went 1-2 over the weekend in the Batesville Tournament falling to Harding Academy Friday, 4-0 and Pocahontas 5-4 Saturday before beating Beebe, 7-3, Saturday night.

Harding Academy 4, Armorel 0

() Maddox tossed a two-hit shutout as Harding Academy defeated the Armorel Tigers, 4-0.

Harding scored a run in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth on their way to the victory.

Nieko Sorrentino allowed two earned runs on four hits over six innings of work for the Tigers in the loss.

Logan Blankenship (1-3) and Nash Winters (1-3) picked up the only hits for the Tigers.

FROM 4-2

Pocahontas 5, Armorel 4

Pocahontas scored five runs over the first three innings and held on for a 5-4 win over Armorel.

The Tigers scored all four of their runs in the top of the sixth but the comeback attempt fell a run short.

Nash Winters allowed three earned runs on six hits and struck out three in six innings of work for the Tigers.

Winters (2-3), Andrew Lannon (1-3 with 2 RBIs), Logan Blankenship (1-3, RBI and a run scored) and Connor Walls (1-2 with a run scored) led the offense for the Tigers.

FROM 4-2

Armorel 7, Beebe 3

Sophomore Brett Harris gave up three runs on four hits in five innings of work to pick up the win in a 7-3 victory over 5A Beebe.

Armorel scored three in the second, three in the fourth and one in the fifth on their way to the win.

Beebe scored a pair of runs in the second and one in the sixth.

Nash Winters (2-4 with an RBI), Harris (1-3), Brock Elliot (1-1, RBI and a run scored), Logan Blankenship (1-3, 3 RBIs and a run scored), Nieko Sorrentino (1-4 with 2 RBIs), Connor Walls (1-2 with 2 runs scored) and Andrew Lannon (RBI) led the offense for the Tigers.

Armorel (5-6) travels to Rivercrest Tuesday at 4 p.m.
