Blytheville police are investigating armed robberies Monday night at Jordan's Quick Stop on West Main and Pizza Hut on East Main -- both allegedly committed by two females.

Around 9:30 p.m. Monday, a Jordan's employee told police that two African American females wearing black hoodies and masks robbed the store of $110. The employee said one of the women pointed a handgun at him and demanded he open the safe.

"When he advised the safe could not be opened, they left the store on foot going south," the report said.

The offenders had taken the cash out of the drawer before leaving.

Then, around 9:55 p.m., two African American women robbed Pizza Hut, taking approximately $1,200, according to the report.

A Pizza Hut employee said one of the women was dressed in black with a white bandana across her face, while the other was dressed in grey with a black bandana across her face.

While demanding money, both women had handguns, according to the report.

"The females came in pointing the guns at her (the cashier) demanding money from the register and safe," the report said. "One of the females then racked the slide of her pistol and stated, 'This isn't a joke, (expletive).'"

The employee gave the women the money.
