The man accused in last May's murder of Dewaun Miller is co-hosting a concert at Skateland that has come under scrutiny.

Javander Williams is part of a group bringing controversial rapper "MoneyBagg Yo" to the event at Skateland tonight. Earlier this month during a CD music release concert held by the rapper, 28 were arrested on gun and alcohol charges, according to news reports.

The Blytheville Police Department Facebook page posted earlier this week read: "The Blytheville Police Department would like to remind everyone that it is unlawful to sell, barter, exchange, give away, provide and or consume alcohol in public other than a place of business licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for on or off premises consumption.

This also prohibits the practice of "BYOB" (bring your own booze) for consumption and or possession of alcohol other than at a place of business licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for on or off premises consumption.

In regards to recent requests, the business located at 301 N. Lockard operating as Skate land has no alcohol permit on file therefor possession, consumption, selling, providing and or giving away of alcohol on the premises is prohibited by State Law

When selling, possessing, giving away, consuming or otherwise disposing of alcohol, anyone under the age of 21 is considered a minor.

The Blytheville Police Department will be glad to assist anyone having questions or concerns regarding the sale and or consumption of alcohol in the City of Blytheville."

Skateland's Emmanuel Watson told the CN that he only books the parties and has nothing to do with the event. Watson said he told the group that alcohol and smoking is not allowed. He said the group has booked events with him previously and there were no issues.

The other co-host of the event, Deon Mouton, posted the following on his Facebook page: "‼️‼️ATTENTION ‼️‼️ The Blytheville Police Department is trying to find any and every reason to shut the Concert Down this Saturday. We the people will not give them the satisfaction! So with that being said, There will be a 0 tolerance for alcohol and smoking in the building! If your are not 18+ with ID you will not get into this Concert! "No one advertised alcohol with this event".. We all know the real reasons for the warnings from the BPD!...."
