Blytheville police arrested three individuals Wednesday night in connection with a shooting in the 500 block of Stemac.

Kyrone Williams, Shannon Williams and Renaldre Toliver face charges of possession of a defaced firearm, terroristic act (three counts) and possession of a prohibited weapoon. Kyrone Williams is also charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons.

The victims said they were asleep, with their 9-month-old child, when they heard multiple gunshots.

"The couple stated once they realized the bullets were coming through their walls, they immediately laid down on the floor and covered the child from any harm," the report said. "They advised they did not see anyone outside the residence or knew of anyone that would want to do harm to them."

Police noted bullet holes in the front glass window, living room wall and furniture.

Later that night, around 11:30 p.m., police stopped a green Chevrolet Impala in the Basin/16th Street area, recovering three guns and arresting the three reported offenders.

The officer who stopped the vehicle noted in his report that he knew the car to be in the West McHaney area earlier in the night for a shots fired call.

"I turned around to get behind the vehicle and it took off at a high rate of speed going west on Sawyer," the report said.

The officer lost sight of the vehicle, but caught up to it at a driveway near 16th Street. A black male jumped out of the car and stuffed something in his front waistband while fleeing, the report said.

The officer stayed with the vehicle until other officers arrived, drawing his service weapon and pointing it at Kyrone Williams, Shannon Williams and Renaldre Toliver.

During the investigation, the officer said he could smell "fresh burnt gunpowder as soon as I stuck my head inside the vehicle."

All three were transported to the Blytheville Police Department without incident, according to the report.
