ARMOREL-The Armorel Tigers remain undefeated in conference play after a 10-0 shutout in five innings of the Ridgefield Christian Warriors Monday at Billy Brown and Hugh Don Ashmore Field.

With the score, 9-0 and two out in the bottom of the fifth, Logan Blankenship drew a bases loaded walk sending home Wesley Walls from third giving the Tigers the 10-run rule win in five innings.

Armorel starting pitcher, Nash Winters, went the distance allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out seven batters in five innings of work. Winters also collected a double and a single, three RBIs and scored two runs to help his cause. His two out double in the first inning scoring Blankenship and Nieko Sorrentino helped the Tigers get out to a 2-0 lead.

Sorrentino's base hit in the third helped the Tigers expand their lead to 5-0.

The Tigers scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded and two out, Jared Wyatt cleared the bases with a triple to right field. Wyatt scored shortly on a wild pitch leading to Blankenships game ending RBI walk moments later.

Along with Winters, Wyatt (2-2, triple, 3 RBIs and a run scored), Sorrentino (1-1, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored), Blankenship (1-2, double, RBI and 2 runs scored) and Brett Harris (1-3, double) helped power the Tiger offense.

Noah Burden and McGuire Butts picked up hits for the Warriors.

Armorel improves to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the 1A-3 East. The Tigers have yet to yield a run in 13 innings of conference play this season. The Tigers are on the road the rest of the week with games against Halls, Tenn. on Tuesday, Rosemark, Tenn. Wednesday and Munford, Tenn. Friday.
