ARMOREL-The Tigers won their second straight game in as many days thanks to a 7-2 win over 5A Paragould Friday night at Billy Brown/Hugh Don Ashmore Field.

Armorel scored a run in each of the first two innings, two in both the third and fourth innings and one more in the fifth.

Paragould scored a run in the first and the seventh innings.

Nieko Sorrentino went the distance, allowing two runs on two hits, while walking one and striking out seven.

Logan Blankenship (2-4), Sorrentino (1-3), Nash Winters (1-3) and Connor Walls (1-3) led the Tiger offense. Hester and Gray picked up hits for Paragould.

Armorel (2-0, 1-0 1A-3 East) is scheduled to host Maynard, Thursday at 4 p.m.
