The Manila Lions saw their postseason hopes end Thursday evening at Yellville-Summit, as they fell to the Marshall Bobcats 68-62. The Lions got a big night from Brady Woodall, as he led the squad with 25, but Bryce Nicholson had the hot hand for the Bobcats, leading all scorers with 40.
Also in double figures for Manila were Joel Burrow with 12, all in the second quarter on three's, Matthew May with 11 and Jake Helton with 10.
Also on Thursday at Yellville, the Hoxie Lady Mustangs were sent home by Bergman 70-59, Osceola's Lady Seminoles fell to Melbourne 42-23 and the Piggott Mohawks advanced on a last second basket to beat the Flippin Bobcats 41-40. Piggott will next face 3A-3 conference mate Osceola in the semi-finals at 8:30 Friday evening.
