Emily Vassar to wed Tomas Perez March 19

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Vassar of Manila are happy to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Emily Rebecca Vassar, to Tomas Ely Perez. Emily is a 1999 graduate of Manila High School, 2003 graduate of Union University, and earned her Masters Degree from Memphis Teacher Residency in 2010. She currently teaches algebra at Kingsbury High School in Memphis.

Tomas lives in Memphis and is the son of Christina Minbreno and the late Tomas Perez of San Juan, Intibuca, Honduras. He is employed in the construction industry and recently participated in the restoration of the historic Hotel Chisca in downtown Memphis.

Marriage festivities will begin at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, March 19, at First Baptist Church, Manila. Reception will follow immediately in the FBC Family Life Center.

All family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the beginning of many years of happy marriage with Emily and Tomas.
