JONESBORO-The Gosnell Pirates fell to the Westside Warriors, 73-59, Tuesday night.
Gosnell led 20-17 after one period before trailing 37-31 at halftime and 49-47 heading into the fourth.
Westside outscored the Pirates, 24-12, to pull away in the fourth.
Marcus McClain led the Pirates with 17 points, Marquel McKinney added 12 points and Brandon Partee chipped in 11.
Rico Mayo poured in 34 points for the Warriors (16-3, 7-1 3-4A) to lead all scorers.
The Pirates fall to 13-5 over all and 5-3 in the 3-4A. Gosnell returns home Friday night to take on the Cave City Cavemen. The Pirates are currently tied for third with the Cavemen who are also 5-3. Westside stands atop of the 3-4A with a 7-1 record ahead of Brookland at 2-0.
