Marvin Earl Riggs
Monette -- Marvin Earl Riggs, 63, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at his residence. He was born July 4, 1952, in Monette to the late B.E. and Ruth Sipes Riggs. He proudly served in the United States Army. He had a gift for paint and body work. He enjoyed fishing, spending time on the river, working on Chevys and loved his family and love of his dogs.
He is survived by his fiancee, Sherry Junyor of the home; a son, Shawn Riggs; a granddaughter, Seaira Ott (Michael) of Daphne, Ala.; two stepchildren, Jonathan Junyor and Scott Junyor, both of Jonesboro; two step-grandchildren, Trenton Junyor and Rhiannon Junyor; three sisters, Belma Cossey of Walcott, Patsy Hobbs and Mary Ruth Smart, both of Paragould; three special nieces, Denice McMinn, Ashlyn McMinn and Alison McDaniel.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Dustin Riggs; brother, Ricky Wayne Riggs; ex-wife, Janice Riggs; nephew, Otis B. Huffman; and grandson, Peyton Alexander Thomas Junyor.
A celebration of his life will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Kenny McMinn and Wilburn Griggs officiating. Burial will follow at Cockrum Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brian Copeland, Brett Sipes, Barney McMinn, Marty White, Matt White and Steve Davis and as honorary pallbearers, James Tucker, Aaron Huffman, Ryan McDaniel, Scott Junyor, John Junyor and Ryan Kite.
