Lake City Mayor Jon Milligan informed council members at the Nov. 16 meeting that two individuals who have shown an interest in filling the vacant council seat are eligible for the appointment. The two are Donald Davis and Steve Terrell.
Former Alderman Linda Stone resigned at last month's meeting because she had moved out of her district.
Council appointed Davis to fill the position.
Council members present included Jeffery Wisham, Tommy Eakins, Harold Barker, Danny Dunigan and Brenda Hutcheson.
Mayor Milligan asked the Council to allow Vermalene Smith, representative of the Veteran's Administration, to select a buyer for the sale of the city owned home at 1007 Estelle. Buyer will be instructed by Mrs. Smith of the terms.
Mayor Milligan read a letter from Attorney Arlon Woodruff pertaining to demolition of property located 90 Skylark. Council approved the request.

*Saturday, Nov. 21 - book signing by Linda Dunlap Hulen at the Museum.
*Dec. 5 - Pancakes with Santa at the Lake City Library, 10 a.m. to noon. For more information contact the Lake City Library.
*Dec. 12 - children may come to the museum to send their letters to Santa. For more information contact Brenda Hutcheson.
*Dec. 12 - Christmas Parad, For more information contact Megan Clayton, parade coordinator.
The next council meeting will be 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at city hall.
