Mrs. Jimmie Frances Tompkins, 85, of Franklin, Tenn., formerly of Burdette, and a 1948 graduate of Blytheville High School, died peacefully on Nov. 10, 2015. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed cooking for her large family, dancing, reading, visiting her family, and volunteering at the local hospital. ...

Mrs. Jimmie Frances Tompkins, 85, of Franklin, Tenn., formerly of Burdette, and a 1948 graduate of Blytheville High School, died peacefully on Nov. 10, 2015.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed cooking for her large family, dancing, reading, visiting her family, and volunteering at the local hospital. She was a former member, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and handbell ringer at First Baptist Church of Osceola and is a current member of Clearview Baptist Church in Franklin.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 65 years, Chris Tompkins of Burdette;

Children, Chris Tompkins III (Liz Rainwater) of Fayetteville, Tommy Tompkins (Kathy) of Nashville, Steve Tompkins (Susan) of Wetumpka, Ala., Andrew Tompkins (Laurie) of Nashville, and Julie Tompkins Pogue of Franklin, Tenn.; and

17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Osceola, November 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. with visitation following. A memorial service will be held at Clearview Baptist Church, Franklin, Tenn., November 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., visitation following.
