Boling announces for Craighead County District Judge

David Kueter Boling has announced his candidacy for District Judge, Craighead County, Position One.

"My desire to run for this important judgeship is based on the positive impact a District Court can have on the lives of individuals and their families," Boling said in a news release. "When people come to District Court, they want to be heard. This is why it is often called the 'people's court.' If elected, I promise to listen to those who come before the court and treat all with the dignity, respect and courtesy each of us deserves.

"I also feel my wide variety of legal experience makes me uniquely qualified to hold this position. I have served as assistant city attorney, as a deputy prosecuting attorney, an attorney ad litem for dependent and neglected children, an attorney for the Arkansas Department of Human Services and a general attorney in private practice. All of these positions have allowed me to gain the organizational and management skills to keep people and their cases moving forward in an efficient and fair manner. I will bring those needed skills to our District Court. Furthermore, I want to thank my family and friends who were able to gather 2,214 signatures in support of my candidacy which allowed my name to be placed on the ballot."

In addition to his legal experiences, Boling is licensed to practice law in all state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Arkansas and Craighead County Bar Associations. He received his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley School of Law, his undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University, and high school diploma from Westside High School in Craighead County.

Boling's community activities include memberships in the Kiwanis Club, ASU Red Wolves Club, National Rifle Association, Farm Bureau, and the Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter. He and his wife are members of Blessed Sacrament Church and First United Methodist Church respectively. Their active participation in various church projects helps to support the Motherhood Program, the Pregnancy Resource Center, and the Jonesboro Church Health Center.

Boling and his wife, Dr. Jodi Shannon Boling, live in Jonesboro and are expecting their first child in late October. Jodi is the daughter of Dr. John and Dianna Shannon. Boling is the son of Retired Circuit Judge Larry and Carolyn Kueter Boling. Boling's family has resided in the Craighead County area for over 150 years.
