A man wanted in a shooting at Clearlake Apartments in June was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Davenport, Iowa, Tuesday, according to Blytheville Police Department Capt. Scott Adams.
Timothy L. White is awaiting extradition back to Arkansas.
Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, Janar Jordan was shot at Clearlake Apartments.
Police found Jordan, 25, lying face down in the grass bleeding from his right buttocks, Adams said.
Witnesses told police that they observed the offender, in a purple colored car, drive at them as they walked to the victim's apartment.
"The vehicle came speeding towards them and Jordan jumped out of the roadway onto the sidewalk," Adams said back in June. "The witness advised the driver of the vehicle rolled down the window and asked if "they had a problem?"'
The witness said that Jordan stated, "No" and continued walking towards his apartment.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly said, "I will be back," and then sped off south.
"A few moments later the vehicle came speeding back up to them and rolled down the window again, yelling "do you have a problem?,"' Adams said. "The victim began walking towards the vehicle when the driver displayed a handgun and fired one shot hitting the victim. The offender was identified by witnesses."
