A Blytheville officer immobilized a fleeing individual by Tasering him Friday in the Holly/Division area.
Police arrested Bryan Dequane Caruthers on charges of fleeing on foot. Records also show he is charged with domestic battery, two counts of Failure to Appear, rape, robbery and theft of property.
The police report said officers learned that a wanted individual was walking in the Holly/Division area.
The officer reportedly asked Caruthers several times for his name and he responded, "huh, Dequan, my name Dequan."
The officer asked Caruthers to sit on the hood of his patrol car, and he was reportedly hesitant and looking around.
"I stated to the individual don't do it," the report said. "He pulled up his pants and began to run."
The officer showed his Taser and commanded Caruthers to stop, the report noted.
"I deployed my Taser and struck the individual in the buttocks and lower back causing the individual to be immobilized," the report said. "The individual obtained several injuries to his face and right arm."
Caruthers was taken into custody and transported to the Blytheville Police Department. Pafford EMS examined him, the report said.
